The Company is pleased to advise that Towngas has awarded McConnell Dowell Constructors Hong Kong Ltd, in joint venture with Kaden Construction Ltd, a contract for the installation of submarine gas pipelines and associated facilities from To Kwa Wan to North Point in Hong Kong.
The scope of work involves:
- Laying of twin 450 mm diameter submarine gas pipelines across Victoria Harbour – approximately 3.2 km. The twin submarine pipelines will be installed and buried in one common trench below the seabed;
- Laying of 600 mm diameter land gas mains for approximately 1.1 km, from the proposed To Kwa Wan Gas Pigging station to the Intermediate Pressure B (IPB) Network; and
- Testing and commissioning of the gas pipelines into the IPB network.
