The Singapore Parallel Train saw more work for McConnell Dowell on Jurong Island, Singapore and fantastic results continued to raise the reputation of McConnell Dowell. An extensive 5 kilometres of pipe racks were implemented to provide the critical infrastructure that connects the existing facility to the new expansion. The Helios Bulk Liquid Storage and Blending Facility job was completed ahead of time, and with its first-class safety performance, was awarded the “Singapore Safety and Health Award” in  2008. McConnell Dowell was awarded the mechanical and civil works contract in May of 2006 by Helios Terminals Corporation. The project is based on Jurong Island, Singapore which has been a happy hunting ground for the company over the last 30 years. Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd awarded McConnell Dowell the design and construct (D&C) contract for the Sentosa Seawall and Land Reclamation Project in Singapore.Resorts World are developing an integrated resort which will include six hotels, casino and a Universal Theme Park on Sentosa Island. The Marina Bay Sands project team in Singapore has achieved 500,000 man-hours without lost time injury. The PARS project in Singapore has achieved 1,000,000 man-hours LTI free since commencement. This result is achieved on a project that has a diverse multi-national workforce of 600+ workers and subcontractors working together safely in a challenging live plant environment. The Company is pleased to advise project completion of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Waterfront Promenade Marine Structures at Marina Bay. The Marine Structures scope comprised a 250m long 12m wide Marine Boardwalk, with 32m long x 5m wide Piles less Pontoon. The project poured 1300m3 of pre-cast concrete, 700m3 of Insitu concrete and used 3000m pf Steel Pipe Pile.
